Reviewer: Enjoyed but…cliffhangers

Back in February 2016 my list of reader pet peeves included mini-cliffhangers not being finished.

As a reviewer it’s difficult for me to comment on cliffhangers. It means something big has/is happening and to comment preps the readers to expect it and possibly giving away the building emotion the author planned.

Too many times the next book either doesn’t get written or published or the author and I just lose contact leaving everyone hanging.

How’s an author to work around this? Let me know the next book picks up where this one leaves off. This doesn’t always mean there’s a cliffhanger, but it gives readers…yours and mine…an opportunity to know beforehand and even make a note to search it out.

In a time of streaming series and instant information, I dislike saying that patience is a dying concept.
