Roaming Ideas: Overly Done Paragraphs

original work by Christine I Steeves-Speakman

THE RUNNER

The figure moved cautiously between the buildings glancing every few moments over this shoulders.  What he was looking for he wasn’t sure but what he did or didn’t do could cost him his life.  The night was his protector now.  His only friend.  The alleys and black corners became his home.  Daylight, his enemy.  The death of night was his life.  Sometimes friends can turn against you.

This night was the beginning of the new, full moon.  Great!  Just as things were heating up for him.  Just when he needed all of the night’s darkness.  The new moon shines bright.  What was that?  Oh Lord they’re closer!  They’ve found him!  Nothing could save him now.  The fight didn’t last long.  Maybe he had bought enough time for the next runner
