Writer: Writing prompt 5 – arguing

I’ll go out on a limb and say we’ve all had those massive arguing blow-outs. These are the arguments where frustration out rules temper as you try to reason with someone set in their thinking.

You know these voiced-raised brick wall moments. No matter what it is you are wrong, the other is the wounded party. There is no middle ground. No willingness to hear you out. No willingness to look in their own mirror.

Maybe you’ve been the one on that side of the disaster.

No matter which position you’ve been, I’m sure you’ve had moments of “wish I had said that” or “why did I say that” or “maybe I should have worded it this way” or even just plain ole continued the argument in your head just out of stress.

Take that real life moment, the one of wishes, and roll with it. What do your characters do? Where does this blasting take them? Consequences? Positive or opposite outcome? Same old same old?

Go for it.
