What was the last book of poetry, prose, you bought that wasn’t:
- A family member’s
- A friend’s
- A gift for a wedding, anniversary, Valentine’s, anything
- For school
- A non-famous poet, author, any celebrity
All right, why did you buy it?
I’ve sent my work to magazines – online and off – and sure being published is something I want. But a book of my poetry/prose? Who would want to read them?

Is it a case of these being too close to who I am to share in such a public forum? Here, I can delete whenever I want. Out there, well, that’s forever.
Maybe it’s simply fear?
Maybe it’s something I need to do for me?
