I watch storage and auction programs. I’ve seen the results of a neighbour’s hoarding. I’ve watched while someone shared their downsizing. And, I remember reading something about the importance of living within the emptiness is just as vital as living with the fullness.
What’s so difficult about living within our space?
Do not fool yourself, home organization takes a creative mind. You need an eye for space and balance, let alone the logic to not put the fish tank within dog-tongue reach.
Problem for me – as soon as I throw something out; the sooner I realize I need it.
How do we live within our space? The one year rule? The switch-around hangers. Out of sight equals out of mind?
For me, I sit and listen. If I hear the piece or something speaks inside about the piece then it stays.
Listen to your gut, it does not want to lead you wrong.
