Writer: Am I funnier on paper?

I don’t know if I’m funny but whatever I am it does have an ‘ier’ when on paper or screen. I’m more comfortable talking in my head to paper to screen. It’s not just that I can edit myself, I’m able to get my thoughts down better cause frankly I don’t talk fast or think fast in person. I stumble over myself.

It stems from being social anxious when I was young. The awkwardness of un-surety froze me. Now? I just write and let it out. The internet helps. I can relax and be more who I believe I am.

And sometimes that’s funny and a smart mouth.

When writing, well, I’ve always talked to myself. Have always had strange characters living in my mind and they aren’t me.

You know what? I’m not funnier on paper; I’m different.
