Editor: Taglines – my old fallback

Tags are the snapshot of your tale. The catch to snag a reader. The quickie sales-line to play over and over in the buyer’s mind.

I’m never quite happy with my original thought taglines. They’re too passive or wordy or go to my habitual fallback of the question:

Will __________

Who __________

How __________

Boring.

Maybe only to me because it feels these are all I offer.

Should I be sharing this weakness? Why not? I’ve said many times editing is teamwork, so are the taglines.

More importantly, maybe this little confession will help you discover your fallback habit.
