This was prompted by an episode from “Blacklist Redemption.” The journalist they were trying to save refused to leave. His stories on the corruption of that country’s government were too important. Okay, he died at the end and there was more to his character, but it still had me thinking.
How many of us would die for our words? The ability to say them out loud. The ability to stand up and make a difference, a change…not so much in a free world, but when the cost could be our freedom or life. Our employment? Our home?
My answer – I don’t know. Right now there’s no worries on employment or home or freedom. But, if I’m ever faced with either…stand and fight and pay…or…back down to fight another day, which would I do?
