ChrisChat Talks Creativity: Senses…what I’ll be doing.

As part of a publishing house we tell our authors to use all of their senses when writing. This allows readers to experience and connect more. It also gives more to the characters and scenes.

Writing is considered a creative art so senses must play a role in other art forms, right?

When I started thinking about my next artistic attempt, this question of senses came to mind. The feel of clay, smell of oil on soapstone, shades of black and brightness of colours flooded my thoughts. Which one was calling to me?

Of course, the next thought was if I’m curious maybe others are as well. So, I’m going to spend the next couple of months exploring senses in creativity.

Hope you join me each 3rd Sunday of the month for these posts.
