Ever become lost for words because you’re tired of repeating yourself, that everything has been said again and again and your brain hurts from banging it against the brick wall?
Don’t stop.
Don’t give up and let it wear you down. All that happens is your voice becomes silent while someone else gets even louder.
Yes, it is about this side and that side; this far side and that far side; opposing views; and boiling down to being able to hold two or more truths at the same time and neither being diminished.
No one should be killed for their words.
Words hurt. Words wind people up. Words give the illusion of permitted allowance. Words can beat a person down…demoralize…dehumanize…it’s why the pen is mightier than a sword.
Action will speak louder…so does screaming, yelling, crying, whining, bragging, but which actions land deeper?
The quiet steady actions. The continued movement and the silent stillness.
But damnit, it’s frustrating…aggravating…infuriating. I want to explode.
I feel I’m in a West Side Story dance sequence fighting to stay in control…stay cool.
Remind me again how that went for the two caught in the middle.
