We writers are a strange breed. We love talking about our stories and books. We work with each other in critique groups and will review works of others…and each other. We’re constantly looking at what’s happening in our industry.
We’re self-marketers. Always on the lookout on how to better present ourselves.
We’re loners. We work locked inside our minds with imaginary friends and foes.
We’re sensitive and observant. We’re opinionated and vocal. You could even say we know a little about everything and yet are masters of nothing.
Don’t be scared? Be Scared? If you ever see our Internet searches. Always trend carefully when you see “that” look in our eyes. Or if you see us madly typing or writing notes.
And yet, I know there’s many of us who cannot bare to share ideas. What if my idea ends up in someone’s story? What if their story becomes the next _____ while mine is never read?
Yes, writers are also insecure. We’re forever in a state of waiting for acceptance. And since we’re self-workers, there’s no escaping.
I started Roaming Ideas to pump the creative well, to keep the mind working on ideas and getting words out, so today I’m sharing the ideas I have folders for…if they prompt you – GREAT! If they get me pumped: YESSSSSS!
