By now you know I really don’t like the use of brand names in any form; however, there is one use I truly despise…when the use is negative. When the description takes down the product. Takes down the users and makers of the product.
I’ve been in discussions…arguments…with people over fast food choices. They’ve put down these places. Would never ever eat there or allow their children to have it. Guess what, they have and do.
Whenever a writer uses a brand name they are walking a fine line between leaving it there for the readers to decipher or fill in the meaning with personal opinion.
Why not just take the time to discover new words to give the impression you’re seeking and let your readers fill in the rest?
