The reason we have to be read piles is because we don’t have as much time as we think. We think we’ll read every night or morning, that there’s more time in our day even as we struggle to find time to sleep.
Unfortunately, the same thing has happened to me as a reviewer. I get excited about your books. I enjoy reviewing maybe more than I should. Good intentions pave interesting paths.
Recently, I took a step back and reached out to those I owe reviews, those I don’t routinely talk to and apologized for my lateness. I wanted to check up on their books and make sure my information was still current and correct. Out of thirty-five emails I sent out, I received around twelve replies. I’m grateful for those replies.
