General: Past Passions

Not sure if that’s a proper title, but I’m watching “Lost Boys” when this randomness creeped in…sometimes the past known is what the moment needs.

These first few days of 2025 I’ve been thinking on a lot of “re” words…refresh, redo, renew, you get the idea. Mostly about the previous-ness of what’s occurred in our lives, some areas that we may want to forget and move on from, some we hope will be better, and some we just hope to live through in order to move beyond.

But, what about those areas that we enjoyed, loved, looked forward, to, and don’t want to miss, may even need us watching closely?

Yes, we should look forward, as the saying goes that is the direction we’re moving in. Should we drop the past? No, we’ve grown, learned, enjoyed our pasts. The past helped to make us who we are today.

In keeping with Thea’s genre, sometimes the past passions burn hotter than any new tricks or fads.

I’m not saying “The Lost Boys” hit the same way as in 1987, dang I was out of high school when it came out, now that feels creepy, but the actors were/are my age, but the whole concept of the bad boys, good boy turning semi-bad, vampires, let alone the soundtrack can bring about fun memories. Hmm, this all turned a bit cool now that I realize the year it came out. Maybe I should delete this part, but nah, let’s keep it in…a trip to the past. Other trips might be fun, in other ways.

Yup, that sounds like Thea’s voice…one that’s been missing for a while.

Don’t let go of the past, at least not all of it.
