There are times you will purchase a picture from a specific artist or because the subject has grabbed your attention…even because the colours match your decor.
This picture I bought during our first year of marriage from one of the potpourri-type stores. A catch-all of mix-match items. Nope, nothing in our living room was green. It matched nothing in our early decorating attempts. Now it lives in our bedroom…the boring wallpaper strip and wall colour (not that either are really clear) were chosen to suit the picture.
It still pleases me to sit and look at this picture. Stories come to mind, new little details. I just feel relaxed and happy when I see it.
