Poetry Starts: Musically Inspired

pic by me

A few years ago I heard a piece of music a family member was playing. It was something that at the time he was just tinkering with, I couldn’t tell you today how far or what happened with it. However, this is what came to me.

Can’t say I’m thrilled with the piece, it’s missing something and doesn’t feel ‘right’ to me, probably because I was trying to fit my words to a beat instead of the free form I prefer.

With everything…it’s all a work in progress:

My heart’s first love
Brought to me on the breath of angel’s wings
Creating heaven from my chaos
My spirit has found its earthly home
Safe within your arms (note…too cliche)

Forever I have roamed
Lost upon life’s clouds
Searching for a haven
A sanctuary for my soul
No longer afraid, no longer alone

(note…add musical words, notes to give music impression)
