Poet: Lady

She gives herself completely to all around

To work so hard and so unselfishly

For those she loves

Life then was not carefree or easy

You worked to live

Then the day arrives when all security is gone

You strike out on your own

But not alone

Love and determination wins over all

Times are rough how do you make it through

With the help of those who are part you

That man maybe over there…somewhere

But you can bring everyone through

You’re from that long line of winners

Over the years you watch the seasons change

The lives expand

Soon the nest is empty, but filled once more

You have started your own tree

The roots are you

And yours run far below

We soon will strike out on our own

But never will we forget

The grace

The elegance

The love

The determination of the Lady

Who came for the line of winners just to
Start her own line of winners

…poems and prose from now back to teen years
…remembering a first writing love
…pumping the creative well yet again
…silencing the internal critic
