There’s always something going on in a notebook. Whether you’re talking mystery, dark fiction or any other genre. Sometimes I think I’m too organized and spend too much time thinking and not enough just letting the words flow. There is one crazy story character that keeps yelling at me – Derrick. I may just have to give in and tackle his tale, see where he wants to take me.
See where I can take him. Make him into more than just a crazy character who won’t shut up.
Then there’s the story idea that feels darker, but more in the form of short stories leading into something bigger at end.
Maybe I need to change where I write in order to give the words space to flow.
