Yes, creativity requires planning and organization. Doesn’t that sound like fun?
Something filled with mystery, freedom, and wonder is actually planned and calculated. Where’s the fun in that? Isn’t creativity supposed to be wild and imaginative? A spur of inspiration and careless abandonment of rules?
Only in the movies. Only in your imagination. Only in your dreams does a perfect piece emerge in one sitting or during one crazed non-sleep night.
Creativity is calculated. It is laid out in a fine detailed mosaic of bits and pieces and, at times, tediously placed into perfection.

Hello, it’s me the crazed creative person who flies by the seat of her pants.
Normally, I’m quite calm when working under my multi-hats…editor, writer, blogger, reviewer, and mom; however, I do lose it. Or as I tell hubby…there’s an insane little hamster running on his wheel in my head…hubby’s answer – speeding and going no place fast. Oh yeah, hubby knows me too well.
Instead of working on the month’s deadlines, I go off half-baked on any new venture.
And that’s when I succeed!
For me creativity is flying by the seat of my pants, hanging on for dear life, and doing the naked chicken dance.
