Creativity – Colouring

I’ll colour my life outside of the lines but, my colouring books are all within the lines.
Why?
The reason colouring is so relaxing is simply because it requires patience. Takes care to pick the colours and find their balance on the page. Don’t forget finger pressure – makes the difference between tired rushed strokes (filling in) and clear even shading. Let alone finger stiffness.
What’s so creative about colouring in someone else’s picture? Even though the picture’s artist won’t, probably, ever see the final output, both people have collaborated to produce something that touches each, as art should – emotionally.
Besides, it’s fun. And, if you use them, who doesn’t love the memory of crayons.
